Virgin Media has launched a new advertising campaign featuring Usain Bolt to promote its broadband and entertainment offering.
The Switch to Super campaign features the athletic legend transforming into a superhero, with actor Richard E Grant also a tailor tasked with finding Bolt the perfect superhero costume.
Virgin Media launched the campaign on Friday, June 1, and runs it for eight weeks on multiple platforms, including TV, print and social media.
Jeff Dodds, general manager of consumer and mobile products for the company, said, “Our new campaign, with Usain Bolt at the forefront, brings our super speeds, great entertainment and great value to our customers to life.”
He added that speed is the “superpower at the heart of Virgin Media”, describing it as “the kryptonite for our competition” and “what sets our services apart”.
This comes shortly after an Ofcom study found that Virgin Media broadband customers are more likely to recommend their provider to a friend than subscribers with others. companies.
Likewise, Virgin Media had the highest customer satisfaction rating, with 83% of broadband customers saying they were satisfied with the service they received.
