Varney: Biden wants to spend trillions to transform America along socialist lines
FOX Business’s Stuart Varney, while discussing the Biden administration’s $ 6 trillion budget proposal, argued that the president wanted to spend more than FDR “not to wage a war, but to transform our society according to socialist lines â, in his latestâ My Take â. on “Varney & Co.”
BIDEN: “ I AM A CAPITALIST, BUT HERE IS THE OFFER ”
STUART VARNEY: When America fought World War II, we spent a tremendous amount of money. FDR has set spending records that have spanned three generations – until now.
Joe Biden isn’t fighting WWII, but he wants to spend more than FDR. Isn’t that something? We fought off the virus, and the economy is growing rapidly, but this president still wants to trigger a gigantic spending spree.
Point number one: he is doing this, not to wage a world war, but to transform our society along socialist lines.
Eighteen months ago we had a tremendous economy. So why do we now need this rush for socialism? Are things that bad? Are the rich so horrible? Are companies so greedy that we have to cast aside our past?

No, we don’t “ need ” this massive spending, but Bernie sanders and AOC think we do, and they run this show.
The second thing that occurred to me was red ink. Biden’s budget will mean deficits of over $ 1 trillion every year until at least 2030. That, apparently, doesn’t matter. Because the left has subscribed to a new theory: âModern Monetary Theory,â which says you can print and spend as much as you want without any consequences. How convenient.
Has anyone thought how dangerous this budget is? We are playing with our future. When you play fast and loose with $ 40 trillion in debt, you are rolling the dice. When you think socialism brings prosperity, you ignore history.
